Solved

Do I need to submit any supporting documents incase of amending a tax return because I missed deducting mortgage interest on a foreign property? I do not have form 1098.

The documents showing you were liable for the property tax as well as your receipt for payment will be sufficient.  They are not required to be submitted with the tax return or amended return but if you want to include the supporting documents it will not hurt, but confirm your additional expense addition.
