Question

Does my return still go through Santa Barbara if I dont owe fees anymore?

I filed back in February but my return was just approved. Many months ago I was contacted by TurboTax to pay the fees myself since my return was delayed.  TurboTax ended up waiving the fees because of an error on their end so will my return still go through Santa Barbara bank if I don't own fees any longer?

Yes it will still go through the third party bank but you do not pay the fees again.

Yes, the IRS will send the federal tax refund to SBTPG since that is what was requested when you filed to have the TurboTax fess paid from the federal tax refund.

If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.

For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/
