E-file status rejected by state

Hello, just filed for an small LLC. Federal accepted the file, but for some reason the State (Texas) rejected the file. I'm trying to amend but I don't know why it was rejected and the downloaded software program isn't telling me what they have a problem with. I'm doing an amendment right now and its asking for "Audited partnership name" but won't accept the name of the Company or the EIN and I've double checked to make sure I'm not misspelling the title or EIN.

You don't necessarily need to file an amended return if your e-filed return was rejected.  If you can identify the e-file issue, you can simply make that change and re-submit the state return (i.e., e-file it again). Or, you can print and mail the state return that was rejected.
