No, that your refund was applied to back taxes will not affect or delay your third stimulus payment. The third stimulus will be paid separately and by law cannot be offset to pay various past-due federal debts or back taxes.

Payment Status Not Available means the IRS hasn't yet processed your payment or you're not eligible for a payment.

The IRS is trying to process these stimulus payments as fast as they can, please try to be patient.

To be eligible you need to be a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident alien in 2020 and have a Social Security number that is valid for employment.

You cannot be claimed as a dependent by someone else to be eligible.

  • If you have an adjusted gross income (AGI) under $75,000 ($150,000 married filing jointly), you will be eligible for the full $1,400 stimulus payment.
  • Payments will begin to be reduced for individuals making $75,000 or above in AGI ($150,000 for married filing jointly.)
  • Once your AGI reaches $80,000 for individuals ($160,000 married filing jointly) you will be ineligible for a payment.

Please see How will the third stimulus impact me? for more information.
