Ein and Child tax credit cycle code

I have earned income tax credit as well as a child tax credit and my transcript show a cycle code of 20250605. Can anyone tell me what that means. I filed 1/29 and am playing the waiting game.

Stop stressing over transcript codes and watch the IRS refund site.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

Note: “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”. TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing. An IRS Cycle Code is an 8-digit number that indicates when your tax return was posted to the IRS Master File. Due to the Path Act, tax refunds for taxpayers claiming Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) are held until March 3. This is why your refund hasn't been processed yet.

That's incorrect I know people who have the eitc and the child tax credit. They both have gotten their refunds already. Think it's something to do with turbo tax I think

I can tell you if you're Cycle 05 that you update early Friday mornings but with the Path act being over soon or already over I've heard we could update anytime. I've also noticed that Where's My Refund usually updates the day after your transcripts change but some people get their refund with transcripts and Where's My Refund staying blank. I have found Chatgpt to be extremely helpful in answering all of my questions about my taxes maybe give them a try☺️ Good luck and I hope you get your refund soon🩷
