Filed an amended return and have not hear anything for 11 months

Did you check Where's My Amended Return? on the IRS web site? What does it say?

Yes I did, several times.     Here is what it says:   

Your amended return was received on June 15, 2023. However, it has not been processed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please call [phone number removed], extension 623, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will need a copy of your amended return.

 

When I call They tell me the same thing.

on the IRS website, posted in May 2024, the IRS admitted it was taking on average 650 days to process an amended return.
