Filed my taxes but still haven't received my federal refund - 2021

I filed my taxes on February 12th, 2021, and TurboTax said both state and federal were accepted. However, I only received my state return on March 5th, the estimated refund date. Did I fill out something wrong, or is there a delay due to COVID-19, stimulus payments, etc.?

Is there something I need to do on my end?

No, probably no problems, just the fact that you were along with the first returns being filed and in the beginning it can take a little longer.

You could check "where's my refund" on irs.gov to see if additional information is available.

Unfortunately, I have to remind you that your return was filed during the time period when the IRS was first accepting e-filed returns, testing their systems out and receiving large quantities of returns to be processed. That initial time period when IRS first opens e-file for the filing season, the processing of some returns take a little longer with so much being tested.

Hi, gloriah,

Thank you for responding to my post. I tried using the "Where's My Refund" tool, but the IRS still wouldn't give me any information. It just keeps giving me an error message. So that's why I reached out on the forums.
