Filing for Two States — Can I Use TurboTax for Just One?

I need to file taxes for two different states this year, but I only want to use TurboTax to file one of the state returns (along with my federal return). I plan to handle the second state return separately, possibly by mail or another service. I haven’t filed my federal return yet — can I use TurboTax to e-file my federal and just one state return together? Will it let me skip the second state return entirely? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can choose to file only one state using TurboTax even if you need to file two states.

Just be aware that depending on the reason you need to file the second state that you may need information from the state return not done in TurboTax to accurately complete the one that is done with TurboTax if you are claiming a credit for taxes paid to another state.
