Filing rejected missing home owners credit info

I just filed my taxes and both federal and state rejected because they said I was missing a home owners credit repayment. When I did my taxes last year we sold the house and we were advised that we met the criteria to no longer have to make payments. Is this something I just need to speak with the IRS to get them to update their systems or is there anything else I need to consider?  Thanks!

Check this IRS site to see what is still on account as due for repayment of the First Time Home Buyers Credit.

So the site would not pull up for my wife or I and it forced me to call the IRS team.

It sounds like anyone that falls into this scenario will be in for a real treat.

1) the tax professional I used filed the proper 2019 for both my wife and I declaring that the house was sold for no gain and the payments should cease

2) however for some reason the IRS notated this under my wife’s SSN but not mine causing the system to block e filing capabilities

3) they need to update their systems so this doesn’t happen again

4) however due to this I now am responsible for mailing both state and federal taxes in

In short, the IRS messed up and now I am responsible for clean up duties. Great system we have here!
