Hi,

My rental home mortgage was bought by another lender in December last year. I received the 1098 from the previous lender and filed my taxes with it and forgot about the form from the new lender, to which I made only one mortgage payments last year. Is it necessary for me to make an amendment? Thanks!

No, you don't have to, but if you itemized this year, it may lower your taxes.   If you didn't itemize, it won't matter at all.
