Forgot to upload copies of my 1099s

I just filed my taxes with TurboTax. Everything looks correct, but I realized that I didn't attach copies of my 1099s to the filing. What do I need to do?

What do you mean by "attach" them?   Do you mean you did not enter the information from your 1099's?   There are over a dozen kinds of 1099's.   What kind do you mean----and please explain what you mean by "attach" them.

I have the same question.  I e-filed, and filled in the summary of my ST and LT gains on Schedule D and 8949 form, but it says Schwab See attached statement for short term gains reported to IRS, but I didn't attach the 1099-B which has all of the individual trades listed.

Do I need to file an amended return or do I need to send the 1099-B to IRS?

If you uploaded summary information from an IRS form 1099-B, you need to forward to the IRS a copy of the IRS form 1099-B.

In TurboTax Online, a .PDF of the IRS form 1099-B is uploaded into the online software.

In TurboTax Desktop, a copy of the IRS form 1099-B must be mailed to the IRS attached to an IRS form 8453.

Which version of TurboTax did you use?

If you used TurboTax Desktop, do not amend your tax return.  Review the mailing instructions and mail the IRS form 1099-B to the IRS.

I typed in the summary info, so there's a schedule D when I print the return and a form 8949 with the summary info but it says Schwab see attached bu I didn't upload a pdf of he 1099 so no deatails of the individual trades attached.  It's only $12 in ST gains (basis reported to IRS by Schwab, abou $5,000 worth of trades) and $370 in LT gains basis reported. I just filed without uploading and just typed in the summary info.

Should I amend on line or mail it in?  I guess I just rushed it.  And I filed a NYS return, NJ return and NYC 1127 at the same time.  The 1127 I mailed, the others I filed online

You need to mail a copy of the Form 1099-B to the IRS  along with an IRS form 8453.  Mail to the same location you would have mailed your tax return, if you had filed by mail.

Where to file addresses for taxpayers and tax professionals filing Form 1040 or Form 1040-SR
