georgia surplus tax

When ww filed for tax 2022 this year and we let turbo tax deduct the payment from our return, will the georgia surplus tax refund be direct deposited to our checking account or will it go to a account turbo tax created to receive and then be issued ?

The Georgia surplus tax refund is sent by the state of Georgia as a check to the address on the current Georgia state return.

When you choose to pay your TurboTax fees from your federal refund, the money is taken from only your federal refund, not from your state refund. The third party bank will not be involved with your state refund at all. The state refund will come to you from the state and will not be affected by your choice to pay your fees from your federal refund.

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities, There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.
