Question

Got an email from TurboTax to file an amended return due to some issue. Said I was getting an $11 refund. Then had me print forms that say I OWE $70. Which is it?

No one in the user forum can see your tax return and we do not know about your email, or what you changed on the return when you amended.  Provide some details.

I didn’t change anything on my return. TurboTax told me to put “CORRECTING THE OVERSTATED AMOUNT OF DEDUCTIONS OR REFUNDS” under why I was amending. It was apparently due to “an issue that doubled an amount carried over from [my] 2019 state tax return involving either the refund amount or balance due”.

After checking everything it said I was entitled to a $11 return and I submitted. Then it told me to print a document that needed to be mailed. That document said I owed $70. My question is, am I getting a refund or do I owe? Should I just call customer service ?
