Question

Has anyone who filed an amended tax return to deduct mortgage insurance premiums still not received their money back? I sent mine in May and still no check.

It is taking the IRS a Very Long Time to process paper tax returns due to the pandemic and limited staffing.

The IRS was not processing any paper tax returns for several months.  They have only just recently started to process approximately 11 million paper tax returns in the order they were received.
