Question

Has this happened to anyone; I filed my return on 01/09/2019 and it was accepted on 01/14/2019 How is that if the IRS isn't processing refunds until January 28th 2019?

And the return was simply accepted for Processing which will not start until the 28th & there is no guarantee that the return you sent will not be reviewed or how long the refund will take to get issued .

Every January the IRS pulls a few returns early for testing purposes. Several forum users reported accepted or rejected notices on the 14th. You are not alone, but the vast majority of people who have efiled will not hear anything until January 28 or soon after once the IRS officially opens up for processing.
