Hi, Can I amend a tax return that I did not file through Turbo tax?

It can be done, but the originally filed return will need to be created exactly as it was filed before the amended return can be started. If the reason you are amending is because something was done incorrectly on the original return, recreating the error using TurboTax may not be easy or possible.

It is usually best to amend returns with the same software or company that was used to create it originally. That way you are starting exactly with the return that has been filed with the IRS.
