Hi, do I submit my tax payment now, or wait for an official bill from the IRS?

Right after I finished my taxes on TurboTax, it said to make my federal tax payment by April 18. Is this the real official word/amount and do I send my payment? Or do I wait to receive some official bill from the IRS? I'm never super clear on whether the numbers in TurboTax are estimates or are official. Thanks!

Yes you need to pay by Apri 18 or they will charge you interest. If you wait for the IRS to send you a bill it might not be until next year and the interest is accumulating. It should have printed out a 1040V voucher to send in with your check. Or you can pay directly on the IRS website
