If you got an email saying your 2019 tax return was submitted and accepted, you are OK with 2019. However, you can't file a 2018 W-2 using the current online product. If you tried to do that, it has not been filed.

A 2018 return must be printed, signed and mailed. It can't be efiled. 

As TexasRoger states, a 2018 return must be printed, signed and mailed.  If you did print and mail your 2018 return, it's not surprising that you haven't heard back yet, because a mailed return can take six weeks to process!
