Hi I have by mistake marked not received the third stimulus check. How do I change it and amend my return.

Need to change my return with received third stimulus payment.

Do nothing for now. The IRS says it will fix tax returns with the wrong stimulus amount as long as you put in something other than $0.

You should get a smaller refund (or maybe owe tax) if you claimed too much stimulus. You would get more back f you claimed too little.

The IRS will send a letter explaining the change, but it won’t come for a while after you receive your refund.

If the IRS does not fix your return, you can amend it.
