How am I able to see what year I had to amend my tax return?

One way to tell is to review copies of past years returns to see if there is a Form 1040X attached.

 

You could also Login to each year to see which forms were filed back to 2020.

 

You could also request account transcripts for each tax year from the IRS.  There will be TC-977 which indicates amended return.  Use the link below to request your transcripts from the IRS.
