How can I amend 2019 return

Sign into TurboTax using the same user account that you used for 2018 returns

• Go to Tax Home
• Then Reports and Documents at the bottom of the screen
• Click on 2018
• Click Amend and follow the directions to amend 2018.

You can only do the 2018 amend by downloading the software to a computer.  It cannot be done online.

When you finish the amend, you must print the return and mail it.  The first page will have a cover sheet with directions for what to include with the return and the mailing address.  Make sure you sign and date the return before you mail it.

You generally must file an amended return within three years of the date you filed the original return or within two years after the date you paid the tax, whichever is later.
