How can I amend my VA state return to include 529 contributions? When I try to amend, the education section doesnt include a place for contributions.

(only find 1099Q for dispersed funds)

To report your 529 contribution:

In your VA return,

Continue to the page Here's the income that Virginia handles differently
Go to Education and select Start/Revisit by Virginia College Savings Prepaid Tuition (Section 529) Plan.
Answer Yes to the question whether you have ever had a 529 plan.
The following pages will ask whether you have made a contribution or have a carryover. Answer yes to get to Enter Your Account Info and Activity to enter the details from prior years.
