Prior-year returns must be paper-filed, as e-filing is no longer available for them. TT will walk you through that process when you get to the File section in the software.

NOTE: for others possible reading this post Returns for tax year 2020 and earlier are no longer eligible to be filed through TurboTax.

So when I amend my tax return on the software it says status : return accepted what does that mean? That my amend has been accepted or was that my return before I even put in my amend

@citlaliaguilar926 I can't see what you have done. So you filed a 2023 return and it was accepted is what it should mean.

Now you are amending the 2023 return and the amended return must be printed and filed by mail.
