My first name was spelled wrong on my taxes, How can I fix that after the taxes have been accepted?

You cannot change it after the return was accepted, and it will not matter anyway. The IRS only uses the first few letters of your name. Next year spell it right.

There is no need to amend a tax return for a first name. The IRS uses your Social Security number and the first four letters of your last name for verification.
