Question

How can I get copies of the additional notes that are apparently on my 2019 tax file?

I filed back in Feb and my federal and state taxes were both accepted. However, shortly afterwards, I received notification from the IRS that I needed to provide additional paperwork for the Health Insurance premium credit. I mailed in the form and then COVID-19 happened.

I have called in several times to get information about my 2019 refund and the automated system informed me I have additional notes on my file. I was prompted to select my preferred correspondence method (email or text) but each time the system glitched and it didn't work.

How can I get copies of the additional notes that are on my 2019 tax file?

The additional notes you are referring to are internal notes by the IRS in your tax file at the IRS. They are probably about asking you for form 1095-A and form 8962. They are notes by the IRS and nobody can provide them to you.

There is an important backlog at the IRS due to Covid. Please be patient.
