How can I get to print federal taxes and send by efile state forms

I have turbo tax open right now and it keeps replaying filing choice,efile for state and mail for federal, which is fine but I need to print federal and verify state was efiled.

If the Federal return is filed by mail, then the state return also has to be filed by mail.  You cannot efile a State return if the Federal return is mailed.

A state return can only be efiled if a Federal return is efiled at the same time, or if the Federal return was already efiled and accepted.
