How can I obtain my license code for a prior year (2017) for a PC?

I have lost my original information.

TurboTax Online

It is too late to install a 2017 program since it would need to be updated (and the state installed) both of which are no longer supported. Hopefully you saved a PDF of the return to view.

And further---there is no license code for 2017 software. TurboTax was not using license codes for the CD/download for 2017. That began with the 2019 software.

If you used desktop software downloaded/installed from a CD to your own computer, then the tax files are stored locally on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive. They are not stored online. If you cannot recover them due to a hard drive failure, etc. you can get a free transcript from the IRS or for a fee of $43, an actual copy of your tax return.
