How can I tell if it would be beneficial to make an amendment. I didn't realize I could write off 4 year kindergarten.

 Depending on your income,  and the amount you spent on care, the child and dependent care credit for one child can be worth between $600 and $900.

 You can claim the child and dependent care credit if you paid money so that your child could receive care while you work. Below kindergarten level, any care that is provided is eligible even if it is also educational.
