How come I'm not getting anything back for state taxes

It depends.  There could be a  number of reasons you are not getting a state tax refund, depending on the state you are in, and the payments you have made toward your State Tax Liability.  

You can run a Tax Summary by going to Tax Tools/Tools from the left-hand menu in black, then choose View Tax Summary.  The State Tax summary will be listed in the black menu bar, above the Federal Tax Summary.    If you are using a desktop version of Turbo Tax, you can view a Return Summary.  

Review the State Taxable income and Total Tax Amounts.  Compare that to the Total Payments amount, which is the amount you paid in.  This calculation will determine your refund.

If you have underpaid, you may need to change your W4 Tax Withholdings or make estimated tax payments if your income has changed.
