How come turbo tax has not told me why my return was sent back to the irs???

Why did I have to contact TPG myself to get answers regarding my income tax

Once the IRS accepts the return, TurboTax no longer has any control over the return nor do we get updates. TPG also does not notify TurboTax of any status updates. TPG is solely responsible for getting the refund, removing TurboTax's fees, and then sending the remaining portion of the return to the filer (you). This service is called refund processing. If there are any issues with the deposit of the remaining portion in to the filers bank or prepaid bank card, they will send it back to the IRS. In this case, the IRS usually issues a check.
