How come when i check my return status it says not submitted but i already got a email saying both were approved

Sometimes it can be a slight delay for the information to be updated. Moving forward you should be able to log into your TurboTax account to see your status change once your return is "Accepted" by the IRS. Once it is accepted, please follow this link to check the status of your refund: https://sa.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp
