How do I adjust cost basis on a 1099b if it was reported incorrectly?

I am executor for my mother's estate.  I sold stock held by Scottrade.  The 1099b that I received from Scottrade reported my mother's cost basis, rather than cost basis adjusted for her date of death.  How do I fix this?

If you inherited stock and sold it from your account,

Edit the transaction.

Look for the box labelled  "Corrected cost basis".

Be sure to also check the "inherited"  checkbox.

Thank you. This got me on the right track. I ended up calling Scottrade and they revised the 1099b, which really solved the problem.
