Question

How do I amend/correct my dependents income that I reported on my filed taxes?

When I filed my taxes my daughter forgot about a job she had in 2020, so the income I reported for her on my taxes is incorrect. When she went to file her taxes it asked for a form/number from my tax return, but it wasn't there due to the missing W2. How do I correct my taxes so I can obtain this number/form so she can file and complete her taxes?

This is confusing.   Where did you try to enter your child's W-2?   It does not go on your own tax return.   If your daughter has a W-2 it goes on her own return---not yours.  Her W-2 has nothing to do with your tax return.

MY DEPENDENT HAD A JOB

If your dependent has a W-2 for his after-school job, summer job, etc. you do not include the information on your own return. You can still claim your child as a dependent on your own return.  He/she can file his own return for a refund of some of his withheld wages (he won’t get back anything for Social Security or Medicare), but MUST indicate on it that he can be claimed as a dependent on someone else’s return.  (Supervise this closely or prepare it for him!)

If your dependent’s earnings were over $400 and were reported on a 1099Misc or 1099NEC then he must file a return and pay self-employment tax for Social Security and Medicare.  You may want to use this version of TT for that:

On my return it asked how much my dependent made income wise, so I out the amount she told me (she only had two of the three W2's at that time). When she tried to file hers a few weeks later, she had received the third one in the mail.  She was then asked for a certain "number/amount" from my taxes, but when I reviewed my taxes I could not find the "form/amount location" it was requesting. Turbo Tax will not let her proceed without this number.

Did your daughter receive unemployment or some investment income---those would be the reasons she would have needed information from a parent's tax return----she may be subject to the "kiddie tax."   Was she a full-time student----or were you trying to enter her income to determine if you could claim her as a dependent?   If she was not a full-time student then if she had income over $4300 for 2020 it may have affected whether you could claim her.

We are trying to figure out why you and your daughter are entering anything about each other's income on your tax returns.

Where did you report your daughter's income on your return? And why?

And what form/number is your daughter's return asking for from your return?

It is not the usual case that you enter a dependent's W-2 on your tax return, so we need to understand what you are trying to do so we can help you?
