How do I amend my Married Filing Separately return to include community property in the state of California?

I accidentally overlooked the Community Property section when I filed. I want to see if I can amend my return to include this. I need to file separately due to the student loans partner has, we are trying to keep our payments low.

Please follow the instructions in this Help Article for instructions to set up the state amended return: I need to amend my state return

If you then need to prepare the Community Property worksheet as a Domestic Partner/Civil Union (in other words, single for Federal purposes but married for California purposes), then you will need to go through the California interview to correctly fill out the Community Property portion.
