Question

How do I change an incorrect amount I entered on my 1099B? When I clicked on edit it only let me see the name of the account, nothing else.

I made a mistake on 1D and Ediit will not allow me to change it.  How can I correct this?

Editing a Form 1099-B transaction is a two-step process. 

 

First you must Edit the name of the financial institution.  Then you will see a list of transactions reported by that institution.  Edit the transaction that you need to correct.
