You cannot change banking information while your return is in pending, nor can you change it after the return is accepted. The IRS does not allow it.

If you have NOT filed the 2024 tax return, you can change the bank information in the File section of the program on Step 2. If you have a tax refund select Direct Deposit. If you have taxes owed select Direct Debit. On the following screen you can enter your bank information -
