How do I change the originally filed refund amount on an amended return
After filing my 2020 taxes I received a corrected W2 requiring me to amend my return. I waited until the refund from my original return was deposited before amending. The amount of the refund on my original return was $2867 but the IRS deposited only $1608 in refund. I have not received the notice explaining the difference. But the question is how do I change the original refund amount on the amended return? This amount being incorrect results in the amount owed on the amended return to be too high.
