How do I correct the error: "A Federal return that matches this state return could not be found"? The Federal return was already filed over a week ago.

Full error message: "Your transmission didn't go through
We could not e-file your return for the following reason:
A Federal return that matches this state return could not be found. The IRS requires that all linked state returns be filed after or in conjunction with the Federal return."

Your state tax return cannot be filed until the 2023 state forms included in your state tax return have been finalized.

If the federal tax return was e-filed before the state return then you will have to wait until the federal return is Accepted by the IRS to e-file the state return.

The IRS will start processing 2023 federal tax returns on January 29, 2024.
