Need to find my fathers tax return

If you prepared a return for yourself and another for your dad, hopefully you used two accounts.  An Online account can only prepare 1 Federal return per year per account.   If you prepare a second return in the same account, it will overwrite the first one.

So if you did correctly use a separate account for your dad's return and now can't find it, the answer I left below tells you how to troubleshoot for multiple accounts.

I'll also leave the next comment on how to check to see if it was successfully efiled, and how to check on a tax refund.

I left an Answer below on how to find the account with your dad's tax return.    And here's how to check on a tax refund:

About how long has it been since you filed?  Did you efile, or did you print, sign, and mail the return?

If you efiled, double-check with this tool to be sure the return was efiled successfully and accepted:

If that showed it was accepted (or if you mailed the return), what do you see at the IRS website below for the status of your dad's Federal refund?
<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.irs.gov/Refunds">https://www.irs.gov/Refunds</a>

If that IRS tool shows that the refund has been sent, and you did not receive it, report back for more info.

If the IRS tool says it is still "being processed", and if it's been longer than 21 days, we can tell you how to speak to a live agent at the IRS to see if they can tell you anything about the delay.

To track a state refund:

As I mentioned above, hopefully you didn't prepare your return and your dad's return in the same account.

Assuming your dad's account is correctly a separate one, here's how to find it.  If you prepared your dad's 2018 return online and can't find it, then you likely have multiple accounts (User IDs)  and signed into the wrong one.  This is one of the more common questions in the forum.

You can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address for notification purposes.  A User ID may be an email address, but it doesn't have to be.  It might be only part of an email address, or it can be anything at all.

To get a list of your User IDs and recover account access, you can use the tool at the link below.  Try using your phone number first.   After that, if necessary, then run the tool on your email address(es) you can access.

NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop.  Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below.  You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session.

If still no luck after running that on your phone number and email address(es) that you can access,  here's another method.
Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, and choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by SSN and other parameters.
