There's nowhere on that page to see your present agreement.

    • Reinstate after default

You can log into the Online Payment Agreement tool using the Apply/Revise button below.

Log in to the Online Payment Agreement tool using the Apply/Revise button below. On the first page, you can revise your current plan type, payment date, and amount. Then submit your changes.

If your new monthly payment amount does not meet the requirements, you will be prompted to revise the payment amount. If you are unable to make the minimum required payment amount, you will receive directions for completing a Form 433-F Collection Information Statement (PDF) and how to submit it.

If your plan has lapsed through default and is being reinstated, you may incur a reinstatement fee.

The instructions in the answer are not followable. It mentions calls to action that don't exist on the page it specifies.

    Whats the solution for this?!

I just went to my OPA agreement online and it doesn't show my full payment arrangement for 2020. It just shows my monthly payment and due date. My loan officer is being a serious pain and I can't get the IRS to fax me a letter. Need some serious help!

The IRS does nothing by email.

You cannot get a copy of the agreement after the initial setup. The copy is sent by mail which can take up to 22 days or more after submitting your income tax and/or applying for the payment plan. I believe there is an option you can select when you first submit it to download a copy of the agreement. There is no "Agreement Package" available for download through your online portal.

The answer is still not clear.

I'm getting the impression that one the payment plan  agreement  is mailed, that's it you do not  get another  copy.

The only way I've  been able to get a printed agreement was to revise  my current  agreement.

This is similar to a contract with my landlord.

It's my responsibility to keep and preserve it.

No copies are available  and it's my word against his.

Wow I have been trying to find this and figure it out for 1 year.  The irs has chat !!!! FINALLY check out the pic. I asked for a copy of the agreement they said they can't access my account, I realised that I did have a copy of the agreement and they were able to check it via the number on the last correspondence letter they sent regarding the whole installment plan, also I have an annual installment agreement statement that show what we have paid.

Hey did you ever get it?

    February 3, 2023

You are commenting on an older thread that may have outdated information.  If you are needing a copy of the installment agreement from the IRS, you will need to reach out to them directly.  To do this please call and follow the below prompts:

    IRS: 800-829-1040

Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, local time

    Monday-Friday

    • Listen to each menu before making the selection.
    • First, choose your language. Press 1 for English.
    • Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
    • Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".
    • Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
    • Then press 3 "for all other questions."
    • Then press 2 "for all other questions."  It should then transfer you to an agent.

Or, you can visit your local IRS Office

@HeatherPLO’s step by step advice for line [phone number removed] is the best advice. After setting up my Online Payment Agreement I received an initial direct debit installment agreement ie DDIA confirmation (which you should print, screenshot or save to pdf BEFORE exiting b/c you may not see the terms again until you get a letter).  However when I logged back in to see my payment plan it stated under the OPA header "We are unable to complete the transaction you requested/Call the IRS”. I was worried my payment plan didn’t go through so wanted to confirm with IRS.  The person I first connected to told me since I had just filed within the last 48 hours is likely why I didn’t see my OPA details yet but that his department could not “see” my specific OPA so he transferred me to what I believe the agent answered as “collections”.  That agent was able to look-up and verify my OPA/DDIA agreement and terms.

She also stated that since I filed in April it may take until May or June until the balance owed posts to your account - thereafter you will receive a letter stating the whole balance owed (but don’t worry as you have the payment plan in place). Also, you can make an additional payment prior to your balance populating your irs account -  it will be credit until they apply it when the balance  owed finally links up. You can go to irs.gov and on the header click Pay and there are various options the easiest being Direct Pay which does not require you to log-in (or make a CC payment for a fee).

I hope this was helpful, it was hard to find information on the OPA and the specific error.

Please see the section titled "How do I review or revise an existing plan" in this link from the IRS for steps on how to view your current plan and make any changes as needed.
