Thank you. Yes, from my previous employer.

I looked for it today and it was not there, and the weird thing was a 'letter' stating, "On March 10, 2025, we received a request for verification of non-filing of a tax return." Not something I did!

I would go ahead and file your return.  I wouldn’t worry about that.  If the IRS didn’t get the employer’s copy they will mail you a letter asking for a copy of your W2.

They do not get your electronic W-2.   They get a paper copy of your w-2, if you include it with your mailed return.

If you electronically filed your return and included your w-2 on that tax return, you can check your e-file status, by  using the instructions below.

How do I check my e-file status?

I have not filed yet and I will file electronically once I assured IRS has received my W2. According to one IRS publication for employers, "You may file Forms W-2 and W-3 electronically on the SSA’s Employer W-2 Filing Instructions and Information web page, which is also accessible at www.socialsecurity.gov/employer."

My previous employer had issues and told me this "We were unsuccessful in getting either ADP or Intuit to issue the W-2s for the year’s first half, so we engaged a third party to process the forms.  The information has been submitted electronically by them to the IRS."\

So, again, How do I know if the IRS has received my electronic W-2?

Thank you.

You mean from your employer?  You can look up your account at the IRS.  There is a section for income.
