In another post you said that your Georgia state income tax return is being processed. Why do you think it might need to be amended? Filing an amended return will not make your original return get processed any faster, if that's what you're thinking.


You file an amended return to correct an error if you discover that you made a mistake in the original return or omitted something from the original return. But you should not file an amended return until your original return has been processed and you have received the original refund.
