This sounds like you're being scammed. You don't have to tell the IRS that you received your tax refund check, and you don't have to verify it. The IRS does not send part of your refund, and then send the rest later.


Who sent you a check? Why do you have to tell them that you received it? Why do you have to verify the check? What does it even mean to verify it? Is the check from the United States Treasury?
