How do I redo my taxes, I do no think my state taxes owed should be this much?

Wife and I are separated but still legally married and live in different states, I filed taxes as I always do but never saw an option to mark her in a different state and now owe Indiana over $6K in taxes due.

    Unfortunately, Indiana follows the federal process when it disallows the amendment of the tax return from the Married Filing Jointly status to the Married Filing Separately status. And it sounds like that's what you want to do.
