How do I remove this Form 3800 from carrying forward every year since the business no longer exists?

The business went out of business 17 years ago and Turbo tax continues to show the unallowed Passive credits on form 8582-CR which gets carried over to form 3800 Parts IV and VI. It is causing me issues filing this year. This year I have an error when trying to e-file federal return - "This return can not currently be processed for e-filing due to entries on 3800 page 9. This return was not e-filed due to a processing error that will be corrected on March 27, 2025. On or before March 27, 2025 open the rejected return, review it for errors, and resubmit the return for electronic filing. If you do not want to wait until March 17 (not a typo by me), you may print the return and file by mail."

You can delete the Form 3800 and the Form 8582-CR from your transferred forms

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen

Going to forms and removing all the 8582 worksheets and then removing all the 3800 worksheets solved the issue.

I have the same issue. I have carry forward credits I want to use and report on Form 3800, so I can't just delete the form.  What happens on March 27 that will allow me to resubmit my e-file?

No one from Turbotax appears to be following this thread.  I suppose we'll find out in a few days if they release an update that allows us to e-file.

Now, it's 5:30 a.m. Eastern on March 27th. I also got this error on the initial electronic filing and have a carry-forward amount I wish to use. So, I ran an update to TT, checked the returns, and filed again.

They were rejected for the same error "3800_Page_9"

What exactly is the error on form 3800 that is causing this rejection for federal and state efiling?  My searches have not revealed anything specific that I might be able to manually correct.  What needs to be done now to complete the filing?  The message eludes to paper filing but how do we get a refund for the efiling fees already paid?

I have the same problem.  I don't have any credits to use, but there is info in the form.  I have tried to delete the form to no avail.  I don't know how there can be an error on the form if TT filled it in.  I hoped that today on March 27 the error would be fixed like it said it would.  Not happy with TT.

Still doesn't work on  03-27... forced to file by mail.  Remind me why I should purchase this software next year.
