How do we check on our amended federal tax return and stimulus payment?

Go to this IRS website for the status of an amended tax return - https://www.irs.gov/filing/wheres-my-amended-return

It is taking the IRS 4 to 6 months or longer to process amended tax returns.

Ok ... if you meant how can you check the unemployment recalculation being done by the IRS you cannot ... the IRS has given no way for it to be followed up on and when the return is fully processed the third stimulus check will be released and there is no way to check up on it either. All you can do is wait.
