It could take up to 60 days after you have received your Letter 4464C to receive your refund.

That didn’t answer my question. That information I got from my letter. I was hoping for an answer from someone who’s actually been through this...

Since the IRS treats each tax return separately, what happened to someone else can be total different.   Sometimes income verification involves sending letters to employers that you reported on your tax return.   The timing can be extended to another 60 days if the employer does not respond.   Getting 2 or 3 60 day extensions is not uncommon.

@Ljp1220 As of yesterday, all the bars on the where’s my refund tool site are gone, and it now says “you’re tac refund is still being processed a refund date will be provided when available”, but the amount on my refund is still the same. This has never happened to me before! I guess it’s just a waiting game. But I’ll let you know as soon as something changes, I know how this feels. Please feel free to do the same!

If anyone's had any progress with their situation like this, I would be very interested to know the result. I filed my 2019 refund via turbo tax obviously, and I knew that it was going to have to be amended by the IRS because the place that I'd worked for one of the companies that got out of business suddenly and didn't provide anyone with the W-2 so I got with my old managers and between two or three of us we came up with the numbers that I put on my taxes and I explained this in any place I was given on my taxes to say anything and so I knew beforehand it was going to be amended that was perfectly fine with that and it took forever to get any sort of response I finally got one letter and like June or July of 2020 saying that they were looking into it and you know that was fine with me. So January this year 2021 I received a letter of February I'm sorry I received a letter saying what the amount has been amended to and that I'm to sign if I agree and fax and everything the letter back and so I faxed it three different times made certain way through mailed it and I've heard nothing since and it's been a year and every time I try to call someone from the IRS I can't I get through. It doesn't matter what hour of the day I've tried repeatedly I cannot get anybody on the line I just can't. And I mean it's it's not like a ton of money but it's you know it's enough. And my thinking was it's my money I should be allowed to have it eventually right? If anyone has any way to help me with this because I swear I've tried everything in the world I really have.....
