My scheduled refund was yesterday feb 27 2019 but it rejected because I used the wrong rounting number , called back said it was sent back with in 24 hrs how long before I receive my refund check

So I filed with H&R Block for the first time this year and I feel like I messed up. I filed on Jan 29th, it went into my boyfriends account, brainless me didn’t know that because I wasn’t on the account his bank will reject it. So Feb 22nd comes and it drops in his bank. His bank tells us he cannot touch it it will draw his account into the negative thousands. So we waited till Feb 25th his bank said they rejected it and sent it back to the IRS. Now here’s where I have been loosing my mind. I have been calling H& R block and the IRS countless of times. It’s is now March 23rd and it’s well over a month ago my boyfriends bank went ahead and reject my direct deposit but on the IRS “Where’s my Refund” Site it says that all bars are green. The IRS says thy haven’t even received my direct deposit back... which is alarming. But a few IRS employees inform me to wait till March 29th at latest to see whether or not I have a check or not..... Here’s the catch, I moved on March 5th and updated my address with the IRS March 6th and at the Post Office on March 13th. A lot has been going on. After I check my old apartments mail and it isn’t there, what should I do?

Irs should've been received the refund back. Do your wmr status say when was it mailed out. If it's nothing in your mail by the 29th call them again. Also you should call the bank and see if they actually sent it back n not holding it. My bank rejected mines on the feb27th and irs received it on the march 12th. I then called on the 15th and was told that someone at irs was working on it and it can take up to 6 weeks to receive a check in the mail

Well it happened to me. Today marks 3 weeks since the IRS "released" my refund so I gave them a call yesterday since there's been no Update on WMR. The lady I spoke with said the previous person I talked to "didn't have the authority" to release my refund so she would be sending a request to the review department to let them know they are over their time limit and they need to release the refund which could take another 60 freaking days. So now, if they take the full 60 days before I receive it, that would mean the IRS has literally held my refund hostage for 6 freaking months. Never in my life have I seen such incompetence. Complete bs.

My 10 weeks was up June 3rd, & it was released the exact same day, & I know have a due date for june 28. So that's 3 weeks after it was released & I got interest on the amount I had.

@Quiita871 Yes I received my check on July 8th. My original direct deposit was supposed to be deposited on 02/27. So the whole process after that to receive my check took a whopping 18 weeks. Keep in contact with the IRS once a week and check the status. That's my best advice. Sorry you're going through this as well.

question my refund was rejected by my bank back April they sent it back same day I only did a iD verify since than in aug I checked my wmr an it says refund received is that good news ?

It can take 4-6 weeks to receive your check via mail. This is after the IRS accepts and approves your return. If your original check was returned to the IRS for some reason, it will take longer for the second check to be issued because they have to ensure the first check was not cashed.

This happen to me this year. I received my check from the bank turbo tax uses within 10 days of my bank rejected it. It depends on your bank and how long they take to send it back. Bank of America sent it back the next day. Hope this helps

Mine was rejected due to a closed account too,checked wmr irs stated that my refund is scheduled to be mailed by march 13th. I wonder could it be sooner.

Doubt it ... in fact it could take as much as a week for the check to be delivered by the post office ... so the old adage holds true ... don't spend it until you get it.

So my bank told me they rejected & sent back my stimulus check because my banking account was currently closed. Would my situation be the same ? Am I going to receive mine in mail??

Yes ... they will send a check in the mail to the last address they have on file for you. Expect it to take 3 weeks or longer for the conversion to paper.

So I would be getting a check cause mines was rejected March 27th an they sent the cash back same day bank stated

I oppened an account with chase and entered my direct deposit info...then do due my own error my account was flagged and the account closed for possible fraud...so my return bounced and was sent back I know that means they will send a check now but my question is since my stimulouse is scheduled for tomorrow to the same closed account will it also be sent back and sent in check for to my p.o. box on file with the IRS???
