How long does it take status to go from accepted to approved if I paid my taxes due.

Approved is only used on the IRS website for tax refunds.  If you have taxes owed and paid the taxes there is nothing more that you need to do or to check on the IRS website.

Your proof of payment is the canceled check, bank or credit card statement showing the IRS as the payee.

 

You can also check your tax account using this IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/payments/view-your-tax-account
