How long does it take to get your tax refund after an offset has occurred?

The time can vary....and many refunds are delayed this year due to the pandemic. Usually you receive a letter AFTER the refund has been offset. You might be seeing a message on the IRS site regarding your refund or offset. TurboTax does not ever receive information about offsets to your refund.

How long does it take to get your tax refund after an offset has occurred? The offset has already been paid I'm just waiting on the remainder of my funds. When I checked the irs web page it says my status is still being processed. And I tried calling the irs its all automated

We cannot tell you how long it will take. TurboTax never knows about offsets to your refund. When an offset occurs, the IRS (or state) sends you a letter of explanation after they have taken the refund. Refunds are delayed this year due to the pandemic, so all you can do is wait for the remaining amount to be sent to you--if they are sending some of it.
